Mr. Wilbur, successful surgery and a forever home
Wilbur was dumped at the gate of Manatee County animal services at night, the staff got a phone message that he was left there, he had fallen into a drainage ditch along the road and it was full of water. He’s half blind and has a 4 pound tumor growing out of the front of his chest. They ran out and got him and put him on the intake site and that’s where I saw him. I went immediately to pull him but first asked Lisa from Moonracer rescue if I could get him through Moonracer since he was for rescue only due to his medical issues.
He is a very loving and happy old man. Mr. Wilbur has now found his forever home and has had the tumor successfully removed. He will spend the rest of his days happy and healthy!
